About The Position

Concept Plus is seeking a Director, DoD/NS to take on an exciting position to lead and grow a well-established DoD/ National Security practice with Concept Plus. Concept Plus has a robust infrastructure for managing and growing business including back-office systems; CMMI ML3, ISO; and a wealth of small, unrestricted vehicles for pursuing new business. Interested candidates should demonstrate capability and experience successfully managing P&L and ability to continue to grow the business. This position offers the opportunity to lead, manage, and grow an existing book of business that includes projects across multiple programs across DoD with opportunity to grow

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a government clearance.
  • 10 years of experience leading and growing Federal IT programs, with 5 consecutive years of experience leading and growing IT practice/business areas
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully manage P&L
  • Demonstrated ability to grow business organically and successfully pursue new business
  • Experience managing organizations of 50+ FTEs
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, IT, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Understanding of DoD market, particularly Air Force, customers, business drivers, and buying practices
  • Experience and capability to develop leadership skills in key staff and enable their professional growth
  • Knowledge of processes in a Federal contracting including budget and pricing, and program and project delivery
  • Experience with procurement and contract negotiations, contract vehicles, NDAs, and teaming agreements
  • Strong understanding and ability to lead project life cycles including start up, solution design, development, implementation, and O&M, and evaluation
  • Strong presentation and delivery skills with internal leadership and external customers and partners
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to devise and implement strategies for business growth
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking to devise solutions/approaches to solve delivery issues, leverage capabilities and contract vehicles, and/or generate new opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of delivery for systems engineering, IT systems development and integration, data management and analytics, strategy and management consulting, and cybersecurity programs and projects across the DoD
  • Managing P&L to deliver projects profitably
  • Developing strategic plans, identifying target accounts and opportunities, identifying required and new capabilities, and fostering partnerships and teaming to support successful business development efforts
  • Leading revenue growth initiatives that include organic growth opportunities and new business development pursuits
  • Working collaboratively with business development to identify, pursue, and win new business; and develop capture plans, win strategies, and teaming approaches
  • Managing program staff that includes employees, independent contractors, and subcontractors
  • Building strong relationships across internal and external contacts including existing and potential new customers within DoD; existing and new teaming partners; internal stakeholders including SMEs, PMs, and Proposal Team members; and other business operations and BD resources
