Requirements

• Minimum of five years industry experience with a minimum of two years of leadership experience in a senior management role.
• Proven experience in leading and operating Distribution Centers of 500,000 SF.
• Operational experience with automated warehouses and Goods-to-Person picking systems.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with warehousing, and logistics operations in a Central Distribution Center environment.
• Experience in an environment recognized for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Warehouse design and corresponding equipment utilization experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and basic data analytics.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, IT, Finance and Human Resources teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a team culture consistent with Cooper’s values. Collaboration across all internal functions is a must.
• Develop logistics and warehousing process capable of consistent delivery of goods in an effort to exceed our customers needs and expectations.
• Develop and implement a strategy for warehouse storage/handling objectives which supports our strategic growth plan.
• Negotiate and select from a vast range of third-party providers for warehouse services aligning with the strategic growth of the business.
• In conjunction with Sonepar, initiate and implement technologies that drive efficiency and effectiveness within all segments of the warehouse environment.
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
