About The Position

Chartwells K12 aims to ensure students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier by providing food kids enjoy and developing custom dining programs. With over 16,000 associates in 4,500 schools, Chartwells K12 leverages decades of experience in food, education, and operations, driven by top talent in culinary, nutrition, wellness, and sustainability. This role is for a dynamic Director of Dining Services at Humboldt County School District (HCSD) in Winnemucca, NV, which serves 3,000 students across 6 schools. The position involves overseeing a food program adhering to NSLP guidelines, managing a frontline staff of up to 15 associates and an administrative assistant. The Director is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective operations that satisfy clients and customers. Responsibilities encompass all foodservice-related activities, including retail, cafeteria, and catering services, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and client relations. Requirements

Associate's degree in Food Services Management/Hospitality/Culinary or Nutrition is needed.

Nice To Haves

Five plus years of foodservice management experience.
Strong knowledge of high-volume food production and (catering trends) is preferred.
Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in computer skills.
