About The Position

AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world. We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. We are currently seeking a Director - Ad Sales Platforms & Partnerships to join our Commercial Sales & Revenue Operations based in our New York, New York headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in Ad tech or streaming platform sales.
  • Expertise in Programmatic platforms such as the FreeWheel, Magnite, PubMatic, and others.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the digital & programmatic landscape including advanced digital products, technology, techniques, partners, and business models.
  • Must be a team player with a proactive, go-getter attitude.
  • Ability to work with multiple platforms/product groups and manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to analyze bid and optimization data, and present findings. Excellent in Excel.
  • Strong organizational, detail, problem-solving and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own and cultivate relationships with SSPs and other assigned Distribution/Ad Tech partner demand teams, proactively driving programmatic revenue growth through strategic sales management, uncovering new budgets, and identifying opportunities to upsell.
  • Direct the onboarding of new partners, negotiating agreements with Legal to align with AMCN's business objectives, and collaborate with Operations, Analytics, and Billing to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert for assigned platform partners, leveraging advanced technical expertise to support stakeholders with updates, issue resolution, and new initiatives.
  • Analyze programmatic performance with SSP and indirect demand partners by making price floor recommendations, providing revenue summaries to management, and conducting A/B analysis on setup enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Ad Operations to take a hands-on approach with bid data, embracing a problem-solving mindset to identify root causes of issues and proactively develop effective solutions.
  • Drive innovation in AMCN's advertising business by collaborating with Distribution teams on agreements with streaming platforms, strategically positioning AMCN Ad Sales to stay ahead of industry advancements and emerging technologies.
  • Represent clients and the Platforms & Partnerships team in shaping internal processes and championing product enhancements, while collaborating with Ad Tech partners and internal Operations & Marketing teams.
