About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at Marriott Vacations Worldwide is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to enhance the company's online presence and drive customer engagement. This role involves managing digital marketing initiatives, overseeing a team, and collaborating with various departments to align marketing efforts with business objectives. The Director will also focus on optimizing user experience across digital platforms and ensuring effective communication of marketing messages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Interval's digital marketing strategy and management processes for consumer-facing websites, applications, and social media platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize social media user experience and enhancement opportunities.
  • Identify campaign Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in collaboration with Customer Strategy and Marketing Operations team.
  • Manage the digital marketing and social media team and associated programs and initiatives.
  • Define team priorities based on business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and growth of Interval's websites, applications, and social media pages.
  • Manage creative design efforts for digital platforms to achieve business objectives.
  • Incorporate digital and social media content into marketing and communications objectives.
  • Provide input and direction into editorial and advertising messages to drive traffic to company websites.
  • Manage strategic growth and development of new initiatives and functionalities.
  • Develop long-term vision and strategies for the company's websites.
  • Serve as a member of Interval's digital and IT roadmap strategy development team.
  • Manage relationships with third-party providers and define budget for digital marketing area.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize marketing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) initiatives.
  • Manage larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives.
  • Respond to and solve business requests that have broader department impact.
  • Enhance the organization's capabilities through effective staffing and development of others.

Requirements

  • Typically a manager position requiring significant knowledge and experience in digital marketing.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing modern marketing digital platforms.
  • At least 3 years managing a team.
  • Experience in eCommerce/digital marketing management, preferably in an established environment.
  • Experience managing third-party companies/tools supporting digital marketing initiatives.
  • Possess a marketing background with business savvy and strong project management skills.
  • Experience in hotel management, vacation ownership, or hospitality preferred.
  • Experience in a matrixed structured organization preferred.
