About The Position

The Director, Digital Manufacturing - Scheduling to Production at Eaton is responsible for enhancing the value of digital and modern manufacturing IT solutions across all locations. This role focuses on managing the product backlog, developing product vision, and overseeing operational processes to maximize efficiency. The position involves defining strategies for integrating advanced technologies and ensuring seamless connectivity between systems, while also leading a team to achieve key business objectives.

Requirements

  • 15 years of functional and technical end-to-end manufacturing/shop floor strategy experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of experience directly managing and developing professional team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience leading implementations of end-to-end composable MES solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Ignition IoT platform.
  • Digital mindset including E2E digital thread, data insights, AI, Agile, Scrum, and Lean principles.
  • Financial and budget management experience.
  • Proven ability to drive change across organizational boundaries.
  • Familiarity with modern technology architecture principles including APIs, microservices, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the value stream vision, roadmap, and epics to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensure the value stream strategy shows clear ties to the upstream and downstream digital thread capabilities.
  • Own the product backlog, managing and prioritizing user stories and continuous improvement work.
  • Manage and allocate product funding and the team's time across full lifecycle activities.
  • Manage a team of IT professionals, providing coaching to develop employee skills and improve performance.
  • Work with user experience and engineering leads to define and prioritize work.
  • Develop and maintain product-specific persona and customer journeys.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define business outcomes and KPIs for the product.
  • Communicate goals for product increments and releases, and support the decomposition of epics into features and user stories.
  • Define product use cases and acceptance criteria, and facilitate issue resolution.
