We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Digital Assets Audit to join our Internal Audit team. This role is located in New York or Pittsburgh. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Requirements
- Deep Internal Audit expertise in financial services, with demonstrated application of Global Internal Audit Standards and global regulatory expectations.
- Digital-asset domain fluency—experience auditing crypto custody, blockchain/wallet infrastructure, key management, change management, and data integrity; familiarity with threat modeling and secure-by-design reviews.
- Third-party/critical-vendor assurance experience for digital-asset providers and related KYT/KYVASP practices; ability to evaluate contractual mitigants and governance.
- Data & technology literacy for audit—comfortable with analytics tooling and control testing across cloud platforms, information security, access/entitlements, and blockchain-adjacent technologies.
- Leadership in the third line—proven ability to lead and develop audit teams, operate within the CAE leadership structure, and influence senior stakeholders with crisp, evidence-based reporting.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the audit strategy for Digital Asset and tokenization programs, aligning with Global Internal Audit standards and delivering clear, actionable reporting to senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of specialists, driving risk-based audits on control design and operating effectiveness—covering wallet security, blockchain integrity, system access, and change management.
- Provide independent assurance over third-party providers and regulatory frameworks, coordinating responses to supervisory bodies and strengthening vendor risk management for platforms.
- Accelerate remediation and elevate thematic issues to decision-makers, translating findings into practical solutions that enhance the control environment and enable safe scaling of digital-asset services.
