About The Position

The Deputy Head of Security is responsible for developing and executing the North Americas Corporate Security strategy, overseeing security operations, incident investigations, risk assessments, and executive protection. This role ensures the safety of staff, assets, and operations across the region, maintaining relationships with law enforcement and security providers. The position requires strong judgment, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders while adhering to ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years specialized law enforcement or military experience with at least 5 years of executive protection experience.
  • 5 - 10 years corporate security management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong relationships with law enforcement personnel at local and federal levels, especially in NYC.
  • Experience in multinational corporate security preferred.
  • Management/Supervision experience of full-time employees and contract security staff.
  • Familiarity with security systems including access control, video monitoring, and surveillance systems.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills.
  • Possess EP training and experience in specialties such as team member, detail leader, primary and secondary vehicle driver, and medical training.
  • Experience managing security details in domestic and international locations.
  • Operational understanding of technology tools across all platforms (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.).
  • Possess a current valid passport and driver's license.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required and maintain 24/7 availability during protective and investigative tasks.
  • Demonstrate professional experience in physical security management, risk assessment, and mitigation measures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the fire safety program for the NY offices and branch affiliates, including training and recruiting.
  • Oversee the defibrillator program for the entire region, including coordinating training and updating equipment.
  • Supervise and schedule the contracted guard staff for the NY, Jersey City, Woodbridge, and other offices.
  • Manage the confidential shredding and clean desk programs.
  • Assist in managing the access control and CCTV system for the region.
  • Act as the responsible party for all Security matters when the Head of Corporate Security is out of the office.
  • Liaise with BNPP and Federal, State, and Local law enforcement and emergency services, building management, etc.
  • Investigate all incidents of security-related matters, confidential investigations, scams, etc.
  • Oversee the response to all emergencies and requests from Business groups for assistance/special events.
  • Manage the Corporate Security Case management Index for all investigations.
  • Prepare Annual Reports, Monthly inspections, and Due Diligence reviews.
  • Directly supervise Corporate Security personnel regarding their job functions and performance, ensuring accurate and timely reports and reviews.
  • Partner with business groups across the Americas to ensure the security program meets business needs.
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Corporate Security to oversee cross-functional programs and initiatives across the security platform.
  • Collaborate with the business continuity team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to continuously improve security and life safety processes and practices.
  • Create and deliver Security training to employees and security staff.
  • Assist in the budget process for the group.
  • Oversee and deliver security risk assessments in line with corporate policy to protect BNPP assets at sites within the region.
  • Assist in Executive Protection Assessment at High Threat Venues, conducting site visits and analysis for events, and briefing Executives on intelligence updates.
  • Provide physical security recommendations for new design/build projects of office space.
  • Oversee the region's security console and its operations.
