About The Position

Responsible for driving excellence, innovation, and transformative growth in the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Dental Hygiene department. Strategically plan and oversee operations and ensure superior student outcomes while optimizing resource utilization and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Empower student matriculation by expertly navigating selective admission, preregistration, retention, graduation, and placement processes to drive exceptional outcomes and foster student success.
  • Oversee the strategic coordination, recruitment, selection, and supervision of a diverse team of full-time and part-time faculty, staff, and clinical preceptors to foster a high-performing workforce and drive organizational excellence.
  • Cultivate and strengthen positive relationships with a diverse range of external stakeholders and community partners to drive collaboration, support, and mutual growth.
  • Foster open and proactive dialogue at all levels of the college and the surrounding community, effectively promoting the success of all students and upholding the mission of the community college.
  • Drive program excellence by providing visionary leadership in curriculum development, evaluation, and enhancement in a constantly changing regulatory and programmatic accredited environment, ensuring a dynamic and relevant program that fosters student success in the classroom, graduation, success on licensure exams, and employment.
  • Oversee the development and management of the department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources. Monitor expenditures, analyze financial data, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Drive a positive and inclusive culture that fosters innovation and promotes collaborative teamwork, inspiring and empowering individuals to achieve excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
