Looking for a position that makes you smile? We’re seeking a Director, Data Strategy, to join our growing team. The Director, Data Strategy will be responsible for shaping and executing our data strategy, overseeing BI development, enabling analytics across departments, and driving data governance and modernization efforts. This position will lead a team of BI developers, database engineers, and analysts.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive change across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field required
- Ten (10) years of experience in data, analytics, or BI, leadership required
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience required
- Advanced knowledge of data architecture, governance, and analytics enablement
- Advanced knowledge of cloud data platforms (such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS) and SQL
Nice To Haves
- Experience with machine learning concepts preferred
- Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics concepts
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy aligned with business goals
- Own the end-to-end data lifecycle including ingestion, transformation, analytics, and consumption
- Lead data governance, quality, security, and compliance initiatives across the organization
- Enable self-service analytics and advanced insights for business teams
- Oversee development of data products, dashboards, and analytical solutions
- Advance analytics, data science, and ML/AI capabilities in partnership with technology teams
- Provide architectural guidance for data platforms, pipelines, and reporting solutions
- Modernize legacy data systems and drive adoption of cloud-based platforms
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to prioritize and deliver high-value data initiatives
