About The Position

The Director, Data & Reporting Strategy plays a critical role in helping clients utilize pre-commercial or commercial customer journey and operational strategy to derive actionable, data-driven insight. This role facilitates development of required data architecture and measurement frameworks to enable delivery of meaningful insights to monitor program operations, optimize customer experience, and enable decision making. This is a senior, client-facing role designed for an experienced analytics leader who can thrive in ambiguity, design creatively, and iterate rapidly with feedback.

Requirements

  • Background in Pharmaceutical Consulting or Healthcare services
  • Strong understanding of Market Access, Commercial, Trade & Distribution, and Patient Services function in Pharma.
  • 10-12 years of experience developing analytical solutions and generating insights using healthcare data such as claims, patient services programs, specialty & retail pharmacy distribution etc.
  • Knowledge of dashboard and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Thoughtspot, Domo, QuickBase, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to use ETL tools like Knime, Alteryx, PipelinePilot, etc.
  • Ability to automate workflows using Python, R, SQL, PowerShell, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting cross-functional client-facing workstreams
  • Outstanding project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing materials for executive and client audiences (decks, reports, dashboards). Demonstrated ability to create compelling stories with PowerPoint or insights with reports / visuals.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Experience working directly with clients and supporting high-stakes external initiatives.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and ability to manage relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, project tracking software, and virtual collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and AI agentic workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to clients and internal client-facing teams on projects related to data, analytics, or reporting for healthcare and life sciences.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering and documentation for data and reporting projects. Participate in brainstorming sessions with clients to design KPIs, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks aligned to client program objectives.
  • Facilitate use of customer journeys, program business rules, and organizational goals and objectives to create measurable KPIs, metrics, and insights
  • Lead discussions with clients to explain data, metrics, insights, and potential next steps.
  • Design end-to-end analytical solutions across areas such as as data sourcing/flows, integration, tokenization, mastering, modeling, data access-control, visualization, report generation, and dashboard design.
  • Connect disparate data sources agnostic of tools and or source formats (e.g., claims, patient services, hub operations, specialty / retail pharmacy, CRM, telephony, IVR, financial systems) into coherent analytic views to generate insights.
  • Transform data to be able to analyze connected data sets using Extraction Transformation and Load Tools such as Knime, Pipeline Pilot, Alteryx etc.
  • Create prototypes and wire-frames to facilitate ideation. Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Domo, etc.
  • Support project leaders & engagement managers with planning, scope definition, and time or resource allocation. Provide timely communication on status of deliverables.
  • Plan and manage agendas, scheduling, and communication for data and report related deliverables in client, and internal project working group meetings.
  • Lead preparation of slide decks with results of analytical findings using visuals that speak for themselves, or proof of concepts / models to enable implementation of analytical and dashboard solutions or metrics.
  • Stay abreast with landscape of Healthcare Analytics, new technology or toolkits available for analytical solutions, new data sets and partnership opportunities to build novel capabilities to help clients.
  • Identify, recommend and implement improvements that enhance productivity, clarity, and collaboration across departments and with clients.
