The Director Analytics is responsible for implementation of Mountain America’s data strategy, data management, data governance, data science, and quality control functions in partnership with the VP of Data & Analytics. The Director leads the Analytics team in all responsibilities and tasks associated with data. Responsible for the development and execution of architectures, policies, practices and procedures in order to manage the data lifecycle needs of the analytics team in an effective manner. Hires, manages, coaches, develops and leads a high performing team and holds the team accountable. Working with VP of Data & Analytics, define and execute a data strategy/roadmap that will improve the organization’s ability to use data for the benefit of the member and business and to facilitate change. Leads the development and management of data for analytics and modeling within the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Partners with other Data and IT teams, such as ETL, to ensure accurate, timely and hygienic data is available. Leads analysts in the use of data mining, model building, and other in-depth analytical techniques to author and present reports containing actionable recommendations relevant to credit union strategy and goals. Collaborates with business teams to understand data needs and apply creative solutions that drive positive business outcomes. Partner with the technology teams to support data management activities, ensuring both business and technology alignment to data policies and standards. Leads key partnership with the Business Intelligence team. Works to ensure accuracy, design standards, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Help define, execute and supervise team projects, establish project plans, timelines, communicate progress and ensure on-time delivery. Adheres to approved data quality standards, data governance protocols, and data change control process. Suggests improvements to processes as necessary. Provides relevant information to executives, specifically SVP Marketing/CMO and SVP of Strategic Initiatives to inform strategic direction on business issues and opportunities. Oversees the fulfillment of data requests, including ad-hoc and ongoing analysis, contact lists, and reporting. Defines, maintains and communicates team KPI’s and reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
