As a Director of Data Governance, you'll work directly with the Data Engineering Leads and cross-functional teams on exciting, high-impact projects that shape the future of our products and data platform. This role provides guidance to the team that develops and implements comprehensive data policies, data management and governance capabilities and ensures regulatory compliance while aligning data management and governance strategies to business objectives. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Defines and delivers broad data management and governance strategies aligned with current and long-term organizational goals.
  • Oversees the development, documentation and governance of complex data frameworks & standards to ensure overall consistency and quality across data domains, and that policies are applied.
  • Lead the successful implementation, deployment, and ongoing usage of Atlan as the enterprise data governance platform.
  • Define and execute strategies for tool adoption, integration with existing data platforms, and continuous improvement based on user feedback and business needs.
  • Develop and execute change management plans to drive adoption of data governance tools, including stakeholder engagement, training, and support.
  • Champion a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
  • Defines a data quality vision and strategy within enterprise or function to deliver data that is fit for purpose.
  • Leads the creation of data governance policies that help maintain data integrity ensuring data practices align with organizational goals.
  • Leads teams of process and data authorities to define the lifecycle guardrails for how data domains must be handled and governed.
  • Leads the development of data governance, risk and compliance processes and controls to identify improvements and mitigate risk.
  • Oversees training programs to ensure improved organizational literacy, compliance to data standards and policies.
  • Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, ensuring productivity and effective communication.

Benefits

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $188,100.00 - $282,150.00.
  • Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
  • Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
