Ambulatory Health Care Services

As Director of Data & Analytics, you will lead our growing data function. You will oversee a high-performing Analytics Engineering team responsible for powering company-wide reporting, product analytics, and post-source data operations. In parallel, you will stand up and scale a new embedded data science and insights capability-placing analysts and data scientists in strategic cross-functional pods and departments to drive decision-making, experimentation, and long-term planning. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution for how data is collected, transformed, analyzed, and used to accelerate Charlie Health's impact. This role requires a strong technical foundation in modern data engineering and analytics, combined with the leadership skills to build trusted relationships, coach high-performing teams, and align stakeholders around a shared data strategy. You'll report to the VP of Care Strategy and Delivery and work closely with product, clinical, engineering, growth, and executive teams to ensure data is a foundational asset across the company.

  • Set the vision and strategy for data at Charlie Health, spanning analytics engineering, data science, and embedded insights.
  • Build and lead a centralized data science and insights function, embedding analysts and data scientists across product pods and business units to drive strategic decisions.
  • Oversee post-source data operations, including ELT pipelines, data modeling, governance, and reporting using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, and Tableau.
  • Own company-wide KPI reporting and analytics, ensuring data is timely, accurate, and actionable across all departments.
  • Guide prioritization, roadmap development, and structured execution across the data function to ensure on-time delivery and measurable impact.
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner to Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Growth teams, aligning data efforts with company goals.
  • Coach and grow a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish processes and standards for experimentation, insights delivery, and scalable decision support.
  • 8+ years of experience in data-related roles, including at least 3 years in people management; prior experience managing both data engineers and data scientists strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading high-functioning teams responsible for analytics engineering, data pipelines, and reporting systems.
  • Strong technical background in ELT pipelines (SQL, dbt, Python), OLAP databases (e.g. Snowflake), and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Hex).
  • Experience launching or scaling embedded analytics or data science teams within a product or healthcare technology organization.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, testing, governance, and self-service principles.
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity, breaking down complex problems, and driving toward simple, scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional communicator and cross-functional partner, with experience aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for mission-driven work, and a desire to apply your skills to improve mental health outcomes.
  • Comprehensive benefits to all full-time, exempt employees.
  • Total target base compensation for this role will be between $225,000 and $250,000 per year.
  • Cash compensation may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
