About The Position

The Director of CyberSecurity - Engineering, Operations and Incident Response at UW Health is responsible for leading a team of cybersecurity professionals to evaluate, design, deploy, and support information security solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field required.
  • Demonstrated success working across the systems development or operational life cycle required.
  • Demonstrated success in operational levels within Information Security programs required.
  • Demonstrated success managing security infrastructure such as firewalls and intrusion prevention systems required.
  • Demonstrated success designing and securing applications in cloud environments required.
  • Demonstrated success leading Governance, Risk and Compliance initiatives required.
  • Demonstrated success leading incident response activities required.
  • 10+ years of extensive project and leadership experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in IS Security, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Previous work experience with federal and state privacy and security laws preferred.
  • 7 years direct patient care delivery and operational management experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in collaboration between IT and operations preferred.
  • Experience supporting systems in a 24x7 hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals in evaluation, design, architecture, deployment, and support of information security solutions.
  • Act as a technical leader and point of escalation for team members, promoting best practices and methodologies.
  • Develop technologies and strategies that align with established information security frameworks.
  • Stay current on security industry trends and their potential impact on UW Health's IT environment.
  • Protect company assets with new security strategies and ongoing evaluation of monitoring controls.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with infrastructure teams, engineers, architects, vendors, contractors, and leadership.
  • Align technical information security strategy with overall business goals.
