The Director of Corporate Accounting, leads the accounting and financial reporting for corporate and support functions. This role oversees month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for corporate departments, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Major: Accounting or Finance
  • Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • CPA required
  • Customarily has at least 7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or relevantexperience in a related role. Experience should include increased levels of responsibility.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and accountability.
  • Experience collecting, interpreting, and presenting financial data to executive leadership.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across a large, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Big 4 public accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and AMT/MRI Lease software strongly preferred.
  • System implementation experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting and reporting for incentive programs across corporate departments.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis to minimize program risk.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc financial analyses for executive leadership.
  • Address stakeholder feedback related to departmental results and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant Controller on new programs and targets.
  • Develop, document, test, and improve standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Partner with Human Resources on plan maintenance, audits, and contracts.
  • Evaluate and ensure execution of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support updates to accounting policies and procedures as needed.
  • Implement automation and process efficiencies.
  • Present program performance and align initiatives with corporate priorities.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Corporate Accounting team members.
  • Handle sensitive compensation and incentive data with strict confidentiality.
