Position Overview The Director of National Contracting is responsible for leading and managing national contracting strategies and execution for Vero Biotech with hospitals, IDNs, and GPOs. This role ensures the optimization of contracting processes, negotiation with hospitals, and other healthcare providers, and alignment with business objectives to drive revenue growth and market access. This role will also be involved with reimbursement strategy, hospital coding, and health‑system economic optimization, They work to ensure that all contract activities comply with applicable laws and regulations. The Director collaborates cross-functionally with sales, marketing, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless contract implementation and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in contracting, sales operations, or healthcare administration within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of hospital contracting, as well as reimbursement models and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and detail oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH).
  • Experience supporting commercialization of specialty therapies or device based products preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contract Strategy Development: Develop and execute national contracting strategies to drive business growth and enhance market access for the company.
  • Negotiations & Relationship Management: Lead negotiations with healthcare organizations to secure favorable contract terms. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Contract Execution & Compliance: Oversee contract implementation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and legal compliance.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks in national contracting.
  • Pricing & Reimbursement Strategy: Develop pricing strategies that align with reimbursement policies and ensure the financial viability of contracts, and lead payer-focused contracting initiatives to secure coverage, reimbursement alignment, and favorable policy positions for GENOSYL DS.
  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution: Act as a primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Finance to align contracting decisions with broader business goals.
