Requirements

  • Results orientation - must deliver results.
  • Independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and leading continuous improvement efforts across various functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with 10+ years of experience or Master's degree with 8-10 years.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, reading, speaking and listening).
  • Strong influential interpersonal and communications skills and focus on customers.
  • Certified in DBS tools (primarily in fundamentals) or any other continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of driving cross-functional improvements using DBS or other continuous improvement tools.

  • Deep understanding of finance and/or service aspects of the business.
  • Able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in QDCI (Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation) tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools.
  • Be an active Leader in PD and DM reviews.
  • Assist site/company and functional leadership in the development of a DBS Roadmap.
  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching.
  • Facilitate other DBS training sessions when appropriate.
  • Lead, facilitate, coordinate and manage the annual Kaizen events at the plant.
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business.
  • Provide expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate wastes.
  • Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools and kaizen leadership.
  • Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations.
