About The Position

The true B2B data pioneer, Bombora connects the B2B ecosystem in a one-of-a kind Data Cooperative—enabling a holistic view of an account’s research and consumption behavior. From this data, Bombora derives actionable insights that make it possible for brands, agencies, and publishers to identify, understand, and identify their prospects and customers, throughout the buyer and user experience, across the activation platforms of choice. Bombora is continually recognized by analyst firms as a leader in Intent data powering GTM data solutions. The Director, Content Strategy creates and executes comprehensive content strategies that drive affinity, engagement with Bombora and our data solutions, in line with our prioritized business objectives, across our stakeholders in the B2B advertising, marketing and sales ecosystem. This position requires deep domain expertise in the digital advertising, marketing, and adtech ecosystem. You will lead strategy and narrative definition, day-to-day project management, and direct content creation and deployment, leveraging modern tools to scale and accelerate impact.

Requirements

  • Deep domain expertise: Advanced understanding of the digital advertising, marketing, and adtech ecosystems.
  • Strategic storytelling & visual articulation: Exceptional ability to translate complex strategic and technical concepts into engaging, understandable narratives and inform high-impact visual content creation.
  • Omnichannel content architecture: Proficiency in designing integrated, multi-format content strategies and deploying them across high-impact B2B channels including LinkedIn, Reddit, SEO, owned-websites, and content syndication.
  • GenAI & martech proficiency: Technical skill in identifying and adopting generative AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate content production and performance.
  • Data analytics and interpretation: Ability to establish reporting frameworks that measure performance and derive insights to shape narrative and distribution tactics.
  • Tool proficiency: Proficiency in marketing technology including content management systems, marketing automation systems, analytical tools (GA4, SEO Clarity), webinar delivery, project management (Asana) and generative AI tools and prompt creation (Gemini, Chat GpT)
  • Cross-functional leadership: Ability to influence and partner with product, sales, and data science teams to translate technical concepts into market-facing content
  • B2B industry tenure: 5+ years of content marketing leadership specifically within the B2B data, adtech, or martech sectors.
  • AI agent construction: Experience architecting and deploying custom generative AI content agents or specialized LLM workflows to automate research, maintain brand voice, and accelerate high-quality content production at scale.
  • Resource & agency orchestration: Experience leading teams comprised of internal and external resources including agencies, freelancers and peers.
  • Editorial roadmap management: History of architecting multi-quarter content roadmaps and managing the end-to-end execution of prioritized editorial pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive, multi format content strategy that drives affinity, engagement and positive sentiment with Bombora and our data solutions. Ensure that the strategy aligns to the company’s enterprise and solution strategic pillars and priorities.
  • Own the development and evolution of core narrative frameworks that align to strategic objectives and marketing challenges.
  • Lead the continued development and execution of Bombora’s organic visibility/ discovery strategy by embedding SEO and GenAI visibility practices into the content lifecycle, ensuring assets are built to rank in search and serve as a primary source for AI chatbot responses. Proactively build and share knowledge of SEO and emerging AEO best practices.
  • Partner cross-functionally (e.g., product, product marketing, customer success, sales, data science) to ensure front-line insights and prospect pain points inform content strategy and messaging.
  • Actively monitor and synthesize shifts in the B2B data, adtech and martech landscape, ICP requirements, and competitor movements to ensure our content strategy maintains maximum credibility and relevance, consistently positioning Bombora as the preeminent thought leader for our audience.
  • Architect and lead a forward-looking, multi-quarter content roadmap and prioritized editorial pipeline; create visibility into upcoming initiatives while managing the specific short-term publication dates and end-to-end execution of assets across the appropriate distribution channels.
  • Lead a team of external agencies, freelance resources and cross functional content creators at Bombora to publish a consistent flow of content that delivers against strategic pillars and annual priorities.
  • Establish and lead a robust content analytics and reporting framework that translates performance data into actionable insights—identifying the specific themes, formats, and channels that accelerate audience movement through the buyer journey. Use these insights to optimize strategies and tactics.
  • Implement a high-efficiency content 'atomization' model that repurposes cornerstone assets (research reports, webinars) into a high-frequency stream of derivative social, video, and localized content to maximize ROI and channel-specific reach.
  • Champion the understanding and adoption of generative AI tools and emerging content creation technologies to accelerate the production of high-value, on-brand assets, significantly increasing output frequency and market responsiveness without sacrificing editorial quality.
  • Spearhead a robust video content engine, balancing high-production brand storytelling with agile, 'informal' social-first video to humanize the Bombora brand and simplify complex data concepts
  • Maintain a proactive pulse on the intersection of marketing technology, content consumption patterns and content strategy, identifying and piloting new formats, platforms, and creative methodologies to ensure Bombora remains at the cutting edge of B2B engagement.
