Summary: The Content Strategist acts as a critical BMS link between brand teams, Agencies of Record (AORs), Mosaic Data Hub, BIT, and Commercialization AI Strategy & Analytics (CASA) to ensure BMS’s Strategic Asset Management AI (SAMai) platform and marketing content libraries are accurate, searchable, compliant, and activation-ready. This role is accountable for upholding content integrity and as such owns metadata /taxonomy standards, is responsible for tagging accuracy, seamless asset transfer, and building well-structured content libraries that enable GenAI-driven content creation and strategic content reuse. This role ensure adherence to BMS metadata standards, supports BMS claims management, drives BMS content quality and compliance practices, promotes best-in-class approaches for efficient, searchable content management, and oversees content production workflows to deliver timely, compliant, and high-quality assets across channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years in content strategy, digital asset management, or marketing operations within a regulated industry (pharma experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing enterprise content ecosystems and implementing metadata standards.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with DAM platforms (e.g., AEM, Veeva Vault PromoMats) and content governance tools.
  • Solid understanding of AI-driven content generation and related technologies.
  • Content Governance Expertise: Deep understanding of metadata standards, tagging protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with brand teams, agencies, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Digital Asset Management (DAM) Proficiency: Skilled in organizing and maintaining enterprise content libraries for scalability and reuse.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to interpret data and leverage insights for process optimization.
  • Innovation & Adaptability: Comfortable driving GenAI-enabled strategies and evolving content ecosystems.
  • Operational Excellence: Focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in content workflows.
  • Expertise in managing production timelines, vendor coordination, and multi-channel content delivery.
  • Familiarity with production tools and platforms for workflow management and version control.
  • Ability to oversee localization and adaptation processes for global markets.

Responsibilities

  • Stewardship & Governance Serves as accountable BMS point to ensure content quality and compliance per BMS standards across SAMai and marketing content platforms.
  • SAMai Serve as the gatekeeper for SAMai content quality, recency, and compliance; run periodic audits to ensure only final, approved strategic documents are available.
  • Define and manage area of responsibility (e.g., region, therapeutic area) and align maintenance cadence to governance needs.
  • Partner with brand teams and agencies to ensure timely, accurate strategic document submission and resolve gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Marketing Content Library & Claims Readiness Build and maintain structured content libraries (claims, photography, references) to support GenAI-powered content generation and global reuse.
  • Validate alignment of assets with brand strategy, compliance requirements, and style standards; liaise with MLR/PromoMats stakeholders for readiness.
  • Coordinate with Agencies of Record (AORs), Mosaic, and CASA to uphold content integrity and timely delivery of content
  • Drive and implement initiatives that optimize content processes, enhance analytics, and improve operational efficiency (e.g. updated taxonomy implementation)
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end content production workflows, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality asset delivery across channels
  • Metadata, Taxonomy & Searchability Standardize and continuously improve metadata and taxonomy frameworks to maximize discoverability and reuse across SAMai and marketing content DAM systems.
  • Ensure tagging accuracy and metadata integrity to enable enterprise searchability and insights on most recent approved content.
  • Workflow Orchestration & Vendor/Agency Enablement Execute seamless asset transfer across systems/stakeholders; monitor and resolve production bottlenecks to maintain speed-to-market.
  • Coordinate with Agencies of Record (AORs), Mosaic, and CASA to uphold content integrity and timely delivery.

  • Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
