We are seeking a proven and experienced Director of Content Protection to lead our efforts in combatting online piracy and protecting our world-class entertainment content. In this role, you will lead a team of content protection professionals and serve as Netflix’s primary liaison for content protection enforcement. You will collaborate with industry peers and coalition groups as well as global, regional and local law enforcement agencies. These activities will include working with commercial stakeholders and digital intermediaries, guiding trade industry based civil litigation and criminal referrals, and supporting Government Affairs actions related to content protection. In this role, you will work closely with the broader IP legal team and cross functional stakeholders including Content, IP Enforcement, Marketing, and Content Security teams to innovate and execute on content protection strategies to most effectively support our slate of content. The ideal candidate will have deep experience running a global notice and takedown program, analyzing piracy trends, and managing a high performing team. They will also have broad experience with industry alliance led content protection initiatives and experience working with online platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.). This role reports into the Sr. Director of Intellectual Property and is located in Los Angeles.
