About The Position

As part of LEGO's Component Planning department, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our production processes run seamlessly. This department is the backbone of our manufacturing operations, focusing on smooth material movement, thoughtful preparation, and continuous improvement. By optimizing production planning and coordinating with both local and global teams, we ensure that LEGO can meet market demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Your role supports the broader organization by driving innovation and operational excellence. Through effective leadership and collaboration, you'll contribute to LEGO's strategic goals, enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional products worldwide. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability, you'll help LEGO remain a leader in the industry, ensuring long-term success and growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in materials supply and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of MRP systems.
  • Expertise in modern ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle) and sophisticated MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to empower and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for building local and global relationships.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and critical initiatives.
  • Capacity for analysis and problem-solving with a strategic vision.
  • Experience in change management and organizational agility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kinaxis for sophisticated supply chain planning.
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing and Just-In-Time (JIT) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FSC certification processes and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure robust component planning to guarantee complete fulfillment of production goals.
  • Supporting Sales & Operations Planning, aligning component production with market demand.
  • Drive continuous process improvements for efficient material flow and minimal shortages.
  • Lead and develop a team to cultivate innovation and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams to achieve strategic company goals.
  • Optimize current processes, identifying cost and service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with performance indicators and sustainability certifications.
  • Participate in change management initiatives to support organizational agility.
