About The Position

The Director of Compliance at MGM Grand Detroit is responsible for overseeing the administration of the MGM Resorts International Compliance Plan. This role involves managing and implementing compliance procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and leading a team to support the Company's Compliance Program. The Director serves as a subject matter expert and reports compliance efforts to senior management and the Compliance Committee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in compliance or a law degree from an ABA-accredited institution in lieu of experience.
  • Considerable regulatory, legal, accounting, audit, and/or compliance-related leadership experience.
  • Proactive management style focused on developing effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the MGM Resorts International Compliance Plan.
  • Manage, monitor, and implement procedures required by the Compliance Plan and the Compliance Committee.
  • Lead and direct a team to support the Company's Compliance Program.
  • Evaluate and report the results of compliance/ethics efforts to senior management and the Compliance Committee.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for Corporate Centers of Excellence, Corporate Legal, Corporate Security, and Operations Teams.
  • Review and prepare all compliance reports and materials for the Compliance Committee meetings.
  • Ensure all Committee materials and exhibits are filed with regulatory authorities in each jurisdiction.
  • Manage the Company's anti-human trafficking efforts and the AHT Task Force.
  • Review and submit all regulatory filings required by the Company to gaming regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Assist in the preparation, updating, and distribution of compliance policies required by the Code.
  • Oversee compliance with club venue rules and regulations, including policy development for new venues.
  • Review and coordinate distribution and follow-up for independent shopper reports.
