The Director of Compensation will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide compensation strategies to drive performance, equity, and employee engagement. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring total rewards programs support organizational objectives and attract top talent. You will partner closely with People, Finance, and Executive Leadership to shape compensation philosophy, governance, and program design across clinical, technical, commercial, and operational teams. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep market knowledge, and experience translating data into actionable insights while maintaining fairness and transparency. This position offers a high-impact environment with opportunities to influence pay strategy, drive pay equity, and optimize total rewards programs across a growing organization.

  • Develop and evolve compensation philosophy, structures, and policies to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead market benchmarking, salary structure maintenance, and job architecture frameworks.
  • Design, model, and administer annual compensation cycles including merit, promotions, short-term incentives, and sales commission programs.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and equity program strategy.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations for compensation decisions, including pay equity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Act as a strategic consultant to HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders, educating stakeholders on compensation philosophy and processes.
  • Enhance compensation systems, tools, and reporting capabilities to improve scalability, accuracy, and user experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive compensation experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments, balancing strategic priorities and execution.
  • Expertise in compensation design, benchmarking, analytics, compliance, and governance.
  • Experience managing compensation programs for high-growth or technology-driven organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets and experience using market pricing tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Culpepper).
  • Excellent influence and communication skills with executives and cross-functional partners.
