About The Position

The Director of Community Impact and Partnerships is responsible for developing, leading, and executing strategies that strengthen ServiceSource’s presence, partnerships, and impact across the communities we serve. This role builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, business leaders, corporate partners, community organizations, and other key stakeholders to increase philanthropic support, enhance visibility and promote the mission of ServiceSource and its affiliates. Working collaboratively with organizational leadership and affiliate Executive Directors, the Director will develop tailored donor cultivation plans for affiliate offices, support local outreach initiatives, and ensure consistent, strategic engagement across our family of organizations. This position plays a pivotal role in expanding community-based collaborations, elevating donor stewardship, and coordinating outreach that drives fundraising and program growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business or related field required.
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in leading fundraising, community, and donor engagement activities required.
  • Self-motivated and skilled at collaborating with all organizational levels, internal and external.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with, or ability to learn, new systems such as Blackbaud donor database.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to effectively share our mission.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and effective in cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Professional, resourceful, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate donor cultivation plans with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each affiliated organization with input from the ServiceSource Foundation Executive Vice President, Vice President of External Affairs/Communications, Chief Program Officer, and affiliate Executive Directors.
  • Work with ServiceSource leadership and affiliate Executive Directors in cultivating key community relationships and building strong pipelines for coordinated partnerships for collaboration, growth and financial support.
  • Support local affiliate staff in securing support from donors, through sponsorship of local events and individual donor cultivation that results in increased visibility, and collaborative investment in our shared ServiceSource mission.
  • Work with Executive Directors to develop donor cultivation strategies, coordinate solicitation requests, presentations, and other materials to engage new partners and donors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Communications team to develop outreach materials and highlight donor success stories to increase the visibility of ServiceSource and its affiliates.
  • Work with affiliate program staff to identify gaps within programmatic priorities and track compelling data to communicate both the impact of the programs and need for sustainable funding.
  • Must be willing to travel to affiliate offices to understand programs and support fundraising and community outreach events. Estimated that 25 percent of time may be spent traveling and onsite at affiliate locations (primarily Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, Utah and Virginia).
