About The Position

The Senior Director of Communications and Donor Engagement will be responsible for managing the comprehensive and long-term communications strategy for donor engagement for the NYP Office of Development. This includes individualized proposals and stewardship plans for high-level prospects and donors, recognition activities, stewardship reporting, and donor engagement materials that reflect the unique needs of NYP's various donor constituencies. The Senior Director will direct, manage, and guide the growing Communications and Donor Engagement teams on all efforts including messaging and strategy development, goal setting, program management and implementation, and reporting and analysis. The role requires close collaboration with various directors and teams to lead the strategic vision for event collateral, multimedia, and staging for virtual and in-person events. The Senior Director will drive innovation, cross-team partnerships, and process improvements, providing strategic leadership related to engagement, experience, and communications for donors and prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant annual giving/fundraising experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in online giving.
• Knowledge of online giving technologies such as peer-to-peer, crowdfunding, and social media.
• Experience in building the donor pipeline from engagement through major gifts.
• Experience in the cultivation and solicitation of Annual and Online Gifts.
• Track record in complex, fast-paced fundraising environments such as healthcare or higher education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Evidence of using data to improve performance.
