The Director, Commercial Insights and Analytics is a pivotal member of the Commercial Operations Team at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, responsible for creating, measuring, and tracking key performance metrics for the company. This role involves providing leadership in developing and executing branded commercial planning, market research, forecasting, and competitive intelligence efforts. The Director will partner with various business units, including Brand Marketing, Sales leadership, Finance, and Market Access, to leverage expert analytics that yield meaningful market insights, enabling effective, data-driven decision-making. In this capacity, the Director will serve as a key problem-solving partner to relevant franchises and brands, establishing strong relationships with key business leaders. The role requires translating business needs into actionable analytic-focused initiatives, leading team and market research projects to support brand strategy, and managing vendor selection and execution of market research studies. The Director will also coach and guide the Insights and Analytics team, ensuring a focus on critical business questions and driving towards strategic insights that facilitate better decision-making. Additionally, the Director will steward insights and data spending, maintaining transparency in market research budgets and optimizing resource deployment. Compliance with internal and external guidelines is crucial, and the Director will develop training and approaches to ensure that the Integrated Team understands and adheres to compliance requirements.
