About The Position

The Commercial Finance Leader will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of the company by managing commercial deals, pricing, and quotes. This role requires close alignment with the commercial team regarding sales forecasting and involves various financial analysis and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of finance and business partnerships experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Accounting Qualification, CA or similar level.
  • Strong financial analysis, problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to navigate in a matrix environment and across functional and global structures.
  • Self-motivated, high level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal of getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Empower, engage and influence team, business partners and leadership.
  • Embraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment and is a team player.
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Manage the commercial business review process by providing accurate business analytics.
  • Conduct as needed pricing and profitability analysis for the senior leadership team and act as a sparring partner to commercial sales partners to generate key assumptions and drivers for decision support.
  • Manage internal quote approvals including delegation of authority process.
  • Create and facilitate the deal approval process(es).
  • Manage Forecast process for Business Development team (actual orders received).
  • Collaborate closely with Site Finance Directors and teams to understand variances to budget and forecast, providing insights into the financial impact of future transactions and decisions.
  • Lead Sales Incentive calculations, review and execution process for Business Development with support.
  • Facilitates budget creation process for order book targets yearly.
  • Independently conduct adhoc data analysis to identify business insights and observations.
  • Identify areas of improving margins on RFPs whilst still ensuring high likelihood of project award.
  • Provides creative financial solutions and win-win scenarios to increase deal flow.
  • Support adoption of technology for stronger data governance, automated reporting, and scaling business to greater insights / predictions.
  • Lead through change and manage an efficient commercial finance team with direct reports as required.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members and foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment for company.
