About The Position

As the Director of Cloud Engineering at Berkley Technology Services (BTS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud services. Your primary responsibility will be to develop a comprehensive cloud product roadmap that aligns with our business strategies, ensuring that our public cloud solutions are optimized for both cost and functionality. You will lead the development of cloud service patterns and models, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), while also introducing new emerging technologies and public cloud services. Your expertise will guide the creation of cloud adoption plans, application design, and management strategies, ensuring that our cloud offerings are robust and scalable. In this role, you will lead a diverse team of product engineers, cloud practitioners, and FinOps professionals, driving cloud product adoption through agile methodologies and self-service approaches. Your ability to empathize with developers and legacy infrastructure teams will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of cloud transformation. You will serve as a thought leader and global evangelist for DevSecOps practices, providing specialized expertise in our platform portfolio, data ecosystems, and modern cloud deployments. Your leadership will extend to overseeing the deployment of automated infrastructure and software solutions, ensuring quality and efficiency in our operations. You will also be responsible for developing metrics and scorecards that promote industry best practices in cloud development, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within your team. Your interactions with senior management will keep you aligned with organizational objectives, and your ability to translate complex technical concepts into relatable language will be key in influencing long-term business decisions. As a leader, you will prioritize employee development, morale, and inclusivity, ensuring that your team is equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to excel in a fast-paced environment.
