About The Position

The Director is responsible for overseeing the functions and operations of the clinical services for offices within the employed Medical Group. This role implements, supports, and maintains the mission of St. Joseph's Physicians, to deliver quality, accessible healthcare with compassion and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree or Advanced Practice Degree (NP, PA).
  • Two or more years' experience in a leadership position, preferably in a medical practice setting.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management; as well as a working knowledge of clinical and business office operations.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate and form working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Current license or valid permit to practice in the State of New York.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements standardized clinical workflows, policies, procedures, and standards of care that maintain the highest levels of patient care and efficiency.
  • Oversees clinical orientation, development, and education with respect to nursing role, skill, function, and operations.
  • Coordinate with administration, nursing coordinators, and practice managers to develop and maintain quality standards of clinical practice across the medical group.
  • Establish and maintain nursing curriculum and competencies to be completed regularly.
  • Oversees nurse educators and their functions and responsibilities.
  • Maintain local, state, and national compliance with clinical programs for the Medical Group (ie. medication samples, vaccines).
  • Work with management team and departments to develop and chair project teams and committees for the purpose of the implementation, continued evaluation, and improvement of medical group initiatives.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports essential recruitment and retention information; identify and implement methods to improve both.
  • Works with teams throughout the organization to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective utilization and quality goals.
  • Maintains accountability for development, implementation and financial management of assigned practices.
  • Oversees assigned clinical, non-clinical, and technical staff for the assigned practices.
  • Support medical group and system leadership in initiatives across the network, including project teams and committees.
  • Understands Medical Group Strategic Initiatives and Goals and incorporate them within the practices.
