The QMCT group uses an applied systems science model to incorporate multi-scale computational modeling and simulation along with experimental medicine studies and the development and industrialization of novel clinical technologies to bring specific value to development and discovery; catalyzing the organization towards a human-centric transformative quantitative biology strategy for drug development / discovery. QMCT includes platforms in clinical technologies (including digital and internet of things approaches), quantitative medicine, advanced modeling/analytics and experimental medicine and relies on robust interfaces with groups across the Biogen enterprise and broadly in the external environment. This individual will report to the Head, Cognition Center of Excellence. As Human Cognition lead, this individual will have a critical role as a key contributor to the CoE, exhibiting leadership to provide strategic and guidance in cognitive/behavioral initiatives and possess sophisticated clinical trial experience with sensitive cognitive measurement constrained by industrializable but sophisticated translational programs. This position requires a senior clinical psychologist with industrial experience who will be able to work in a highly matrixed environment and can lead a variety of teams across the enterprise unified by the: Ability to provide in depth understanding of behavioral/clinical measures and instrumentation; Measurement of the functional impact of new therapies in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric populations; Ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise including the R&D, Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology, World Wide Medical and Commercial business units. The individual will need to be forward thinking and simultaneously see what the current demands of the organization are and what the future can deliver and then can plot a trajectory in which these meet to deliver meaningful solutions linking better measurement and industrialization of clinical outcomes to the drug discovery and development pipeline. This individual will work interactively both internally and externally to identify and develop future clinical and cognitive platforms that are critical to the ultimate QMCT Lab mission of building specific portfolio solutions enabling the company to be a leader in quantitative neuromedicine. Additional Information The Quantitative Medicine and Clinical Technologies (QMCT) Clinical Neuropsychologist will be a member of the newly created Cognition Center of Excellence (CoE) in the QMCT line. QMCT builds knowledge tools and drives the science to compute and quantify the health state of patients thus providing a rigorous paradigm for improving clinical trial and patient outcomes measures and connecting value to the core biology of a target.
