About The Position

The Director role is responsible for leading overall strategic account management for assigned clients. This role is central to driving client satisfaction, retention and account growth. In addition to maintaining and expanding existing relationships, the Director plays a key role in actively cross-selling and upselling products and services across Magnit’s offerings. This individual is expected to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential opportunities, leveraging a deep understanding of client needs and industry trends. A trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, the Director ensures Magnit is positioned as a strategic, indispensable partner. The Director is also responsible for the performance, development, and leadership of Account Management team. This highly visible, senior-level position requires strong sales acumen, operational expertise, and exceptional relationship-building skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years experience in account management, sales, and/or client service within enterprise-level environments
  • Proven track record of driving double digit revenue and services growth on large, complex Enterprise accounts
  • Strategic thinking, business development, and financial management expertise
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of at least $150M in spend and 1.5M GP
  • Demonstrated ability to build and continuously build a healthy sales pipeline
  • Experience managing account management and/or sales resources
  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills with experience building custom solutions for clients
  • Experience working in staffing, HR, consulting, or contingent workforce industries
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support clients and team members across locations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the escalation point of contact for sponsors and stakeholders of the program.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their challenges, goals, and market trends.
  • Expand relationships with business leaders of our key users and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of all Magnit product lines to develop new client growth strategies.
  • Develop and expand Web of Influence across all levels of client organizations ensuring engagement by client leadership across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Drive and execute on strategic account plans across assigned clients with a strong focus on retention, growth, and solution expansion
  • Understand each client’s strategic goals, growth plans, and business drivers to proactively recommend value-added solutions.
  • Actively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across all Magnit service lines; introduce new services that align with client needs.
  • Manage P&L for the client account, achieve revenue and KPI target
  • Lead complex sales and contracting processes, collaborating with operations, product, and design teams to create and implement custom solutions that address nuanced client needs and collaborating with finance and legal teams to ensure successful contracting.
  • Shape strategy for Quarterly Business/Annual Business Reviews in partnership internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key client executives and decision-makers, influencing the perception of Magnit as a strategic partner.
  • Collect and prioritize product enhancements to address client needs, collaborate with internal teams to implement enhancements, and provide ongoing communications to client.
  • Ensure all client interactions, opportunities, and engagement milestones are tracked in CRM tools.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new accounts.
  • Lead a high-performing team of those in the Account Management role; support coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and client-specific enhancements with product, marketing and operations.
  • Travel to client locations and business meetings as required.
