About The Position

The Director, Client Services is an integral and senior position on Wasserman’s Experiential Team with responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of agency projects, from brief to execution. The Director, Client Services will ensure that all client deliverables and project milestones are delivered on-time, on-budget and of a quality expected by Wasserman and its clients. Additionally, the Director, Client Services will be responsible for the strategic leadership of accounts, as well as owning and nurturing key client relationships. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years relevant event agency experience (preferably in the experiential, sports or entertainment field)
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the experiential landscape and proven ability to deliver complex projects from concept through to execution
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and always possess a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Exemplifies strong leadership, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor on the team

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team (1 - 4) of mid-level reports, understanding what motivates individual team members and adjusting managerial style based on each person's needs
  • Provide project guidance and leadership, communicating a vision and challenging the team to achieve goals
  • Develop and present strategic, insightful, and innovative work independent of senior management oversight and input
  • Serve as a champion for process and strive to maintain healthy, productive teams that follow project protocols
  • Manage workstream of entire account team or multiple verticals, and help define the team structure and roles & responsibilities on a project-to-project basis
  • Support in the strategic development of activation concepts that deliver on client requests, demonstrating critical thinking and creative solutions
  • Serve as primary client POC with a deep understanding of client motivators and work style, anticipating needs and providing information before it is requested
  • Review work and identify gaps or omissions, providing timely and actionable feedback and ensuring work is delivered on time and without issue
  • Overcome challenges during a presentation and turn objections into deeper understanding with little to no senior oversight
  • Work in a collaborative manner with all relevant Wasserman department teams to ensure flawless project delivery against the client’s objectives and agreed upon budget
  • Develop, manage and reconcile project budgets of $2M - $4M, ensuring projects are correctly budgeted for by all departments
  • Independently draft agency fees, ensuring expected financial targets are met
  • Understand the landscape for each client’s business/sector, as well as the media context for their investments
  • Create a positive, collaborative, teamwork environment that aligns with Wasserman company culture and values
  • Play a leadership role during internal and external conversations, managing complex challenges and capable of crafting multiple scenarios/outcomes
  • Consistently seek opportunities to optimize and improve end work product
  • Focus on business development and new revenue opportunities with existing and potential clients
