About The Position

The Director, Client Funding Operations oversees the Funding Teams and is responsible for leading the overall direction of the Funding Department. This position will frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams within Allied for new product development and existing process improvement, as it relates to financial operational impacts. This position ensures the accountability for achieving business goals in this department and across other Allied Teams. This position is also responsible for designing and implementing the most effective processes and procedures to ensure quality and department metrics are met.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of Accounting, Financial Operations or similar experience required.
  • At least 5 years management experience required.
  • Insurance industry knowledge, especially in TPA Funding Workflow, is a requirement.
  • Intermediate skill in Access, Excel and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direction of Funding functions for ASO clients.
  • Work with Department Managers on the day-to-day operational functions to include, workflow management, inventory, staffing needs, systems, procedures, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments including Claims, Stop Loss, Renewals, Invoicing and Treasury within Allied to ensure business objectives and performance standards are met.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in TPA Funding requirements for complex transactions and possesses the technical knowledge necessary to guide department in implementing best practices.
  • Assess current processes and procedures for innovative opportunities amongst teams.
  • Facilitate and oversee projects to support goals or innovation.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures most efficient to corporate directives and strategy.
  • Develop management staff to lead the team within business objectives.
  • Ensure that defined processes and quality standards are followed.
  • Analyze staffing needs based upon current volume of business and staff appropriately.
  • Fosters a sense of urgency and commitment to achieve goals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot daily issues that arise throughout each team.
  • Maintain direct report assignments, performance management and relative goals.
  • Continuous financial institution daily management.
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop.
  • Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
