About The Position

The Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services (CAGS) is responsible for implementing and overseeing the CAGS program of Bellefaire JCB. He/she provides direction, coordination plus clinical and administrative supervision to the CAGS staff. The Director monitors the program’s budget and research, as well as working to promote the development of the program.

Requirements

  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • Minimum Valid Ohio LISW-S or LPCC-S required.
  • Strong clinical skills including expertise crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions.
  • Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.

  • Proven experience in public relations, community development and both clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in partial hospitalization services.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision and leadership to the CAGS program, managers, and staff.
  • Supervise and assure the maintenance of adequate and timely client records, reports and billing.
  • Assure that standards/regulations set by accrediting and/or licensing bodies are maintained by both CAGS staff.
  • Conduct or coordinate staff training that will provide the skills necessary to implement the CAGS programs.
  • In cooperation with appropriate Fiscal staff, develop, administrate, and be responsible for the CAGS program budgets.
  • Either through personal participation or by delegating to appropriate staff, provide consultation and input on intake decisions as requested.
  • Represent the agency in the development or maintenance of relationships with other organizations including, sister agencies, public agencies, managed care companies, insurance companies, funders and referral sources.
  • Provide liaison and appropriate staffing for committees of the Board of Trustees as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Assure that CAGS staff participate in agency research projects to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of proposal writing and fundraising activities.
  • Assure that CAGS staff maintain high standards of safe, ethical and professional conduct.
  • Assure that CAGS groups are run in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
