Role This position will be responsible for developing and executing robust health economics, outcomes research strategy and communication for a product (oncology) in alignment with brand, medical and market access strategy. This role requires strong strategic thinking, knowledge of payer customer needs, communication skills and cross-functional influence. The candidate will have global or US responsibilities below depending on experience/fit.

Requirements

  • Graduate (Masters) degree and relevant work experience in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, health services research, public health, health policy
  • Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry or a managed care setting in the direct conduct of health economics, outcomes research, real world evidence and epidemiology studies
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Must possess the ability to understand healthcare marketplace, access trends and communication strategies with access customers and influencers
  • Must have a proven ability to build customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and communications skills.
  • Flexibility to travel is required (<20%)
  • Strong commercial and clinical strategic mindset
  • Demonstrated research accomplishments as evidenced by a history of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Ability to work well in a team and cross-functional environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced environment and with tight timelines
  • Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and goal orientated
  • Strong communication skills - both oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Global/US CORE strategy and plan for oncology product in alignment with brand, medical and market access strategy.
  • Conduct relevant research to demonstrate value of oncology product.
  • Manage research projects that are customer facing including RWE generation with customers.
  • Ensure all research is conducted with a high level of scientific rigor.
  • Train field access and field HEOL/MSL teams on customer facing material as appropriate.
  • Develop customer facing materials (eg: FDAMA-114, FM decks with HEOR data) and tools (eg: BIMs, cost calculators) that can communicate value to payer customer in partnership with Medical Communications Team.
  • Contribute to publication strategies for given product present research at scientific conferences and forums.
  • Communicate value evidence to key access customers as needed to ensure patient access, medical policy, coverage, and reimbursement for oncology product.
  • As a member of the CORE team, contribute to department strategy and objectives as well as represent CORE on key initiatives.
  • As a member of the CORE team, support pipeline assets as needed.
