Partnering closely with the Cayuga Health Foundation Board of Directors, the Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cayuga Health Foundation. This will include the planning and effective execution of philanthropy efforts and methods to raise funds that coincide with Cayuga Health and Centralus' strategic priorities, volunteer management and special events. A special emphasis will be placed on accomplishing this through an increased cycle of philanthropic campaigns to support capital and programmatic needs. A strong focus will be placed on major gifts, customer service and interaction, as well as building relationships with friends of the Foundation, Cayuga Health System leadership, the medical and nursing staff, volunteer leadership and other members of the Centralus Health team. This includes setting and meeting all goals, implementation of strategy and programs and supporting volunteers focused on annual fund solicitations. This is achieved through multiple approaches that include, but are not limited to, direct mail, e-giving, grateful patients, commemorative giving, special appeals, grants, planned giving, events and campaigns to the hospital family (boards, physicians, employees, vendors, businesses, auxiliaries and volunteers). The Director supervises the Development Assistant and the Development Specialist Cancer Resource Center.
