Director, Category Management – Renewables This is a fully remote position open to candidates currently residing anywhere in the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available. The role includes up to 20% domestic and international travel. EnergyLink, a Quanta company, is a certified renewable EPC firm on a mission to connect end users to capital investors through tailored electrification assets. We design, build, and fund full-suite strategic solutions that reduce carbon emissions, boost sustainability, and elevate corporate responsibility. EnergyLink, is seeking a Director, Category Management – Renewables with proven experience leading Category Management teams supporting utility-scale Wind, Solar, and BESS EPC projects. This role will oversee sourcing and procurement of critical infrastructure materials, including racking systems, inverters, transformers, structural steel, wire, and cable, while driving enterprise sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and project execution.This is a fully remote position open to candidates currently residing anywhere in the United States. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management within complex, capital-intensive environments, with a proven track record of leading teams and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies
  • Strong experience supporting Wind, Solar, and BESS EPC projects, sourcing materials such as solar racking systems, steel piles and structural steel, inverters, transformers, MV/LV cable, wire, switchgear, and balance-of-plant components
  • Proven negotiation skills with strong commercial and financial acumen, including supplier strategy, pricing models, and contract structures
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior leadership stakeholders and translate strategy into measurable execution
  • Highly analytical and execution-focused, comfortable using data and market intelligence to drive decisions and results
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Electrical Engineering, or related field)

  • APICS/CPSM or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise renewables category strategy across Wind, Solar, and BESS projects, with ownership of critical materials including racking, steel piles, cable and wire, inverters, transformers, and related electrical and structural components.
  • Define and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, ensure supply continuity, and support safe, on-time project delivery across the portfolio.
  • Provide senior-level leadership to a team of Category Managers, setting direction, developing talent, and driving accountability and performance.
  • Partnering closely with executive leadership, operations, finance, and project teams, you will align sourcing plans with demand forecasts, capital programs, and long-range business objectives.
  • Own strategic supplier relationships, supplier performance and risk management, and category governance.
  • Leverage market intelligence and analytics to navigate pricing volatility, geopolitical risk, and capacity constraints while driving innovation and long-term value through supplier partnerships.
  • Represent the sourcing function in executive forums and contribute to enterprise-wide planning and decision-making.
