The Job: As a Key Director, Category Management, you’ll be part of our DEWALT Category - Global Commercialization team working as a Hybrid employee.

  • Provides leadership and oversight for the Category Management Data & Analytics team for the DEWALT Brand/Product Organization.
  • Oversees team efforts to derive new insights from data and uncover business opportunities and create new revenue streams.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify business opportunities, articulate questions to answer, and works with the team to convert each question into an analytical methodology.
  • Leads data aggregation, analysis and modeling activities, including: Translating business issues into analytical questions. Working with key stakeholders to understand business issues and concerns. Determining appropriate data collection and analytical methods and protocols. Performing machine learning, data mining and statistical analyses. Developing objective, thought-provoking and potentially transformative insights. Engaging with business leaders to present findings, ensure understanding from multiple perspectives and provide decision support.
  • Advises team members, allied teams (i.e., functional teams, shared services, product teams, etc.) on modeling and drawing actionable insights based on large and complex datasets.
  • Influences others to consistently pursue data when exploring opportunities and making decisions.
  • Ensures teams / team members have access to and the capability to use and optimize state-of-the-art tools and technologies.
  • Applies knowledge of economic, financial, market, and industry trends to understand and improve individual, work group and/or organizational results.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of major business functions, industry trends and own organization’s position to contribute to effective business strategies and/or tactics.
  • Articulates the implications of trends for own department or team as well as for the broader organization.
  • Able to effectively weave data and analyses into business rhythms to tell compelling stories and influence outcomes.
  • Listens to the needs of the organization and proactively identifies opportunities to add value by using data.
  • Understands the nature and interdependencies of the organization's departments and functions.
  • Understands the industry and leverages that understanding to maximize results, limit risks and effectively contribute to the team, department and/or broader organization.
  • Able to effectively manage and partner with global team while navigating market specific requirements.
  • 10+ year of Data Analytics, Finance or other Business-Related Experience
  • BS/BA in Business, Data Analytics or Finance
