POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Cardiovascular and Procedural Services provides oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating standards of clinical practice including, but not limited to quality, education, advanced practice, and clinical operations within the division (such as echocardiology, interventional radiology, gastrointestinal laboratory, catheterization laboratory, stress testing) and the medical center. Establishes departmental direction consistent with hospital and health system objectives, develops, and evaluates programs to facilitate meeting goals of division, hospital, and health system. Makes recommendations on policy issues and technology needs regarding clinical practice. Responsible for the identification of opportunities to attain superior quality, safety and cost, including the implementation of solution sets and ongoing evaluation of performance, by working collaboratively with medical staff, other clinical leaders, and ancillary departments. Responsible for the planning, directing and evaluating operational performance of the division, including management of capital, financial and human resources.
