About The Position

The Director of Cardiac & Pulmonary Services is responsible for overseeing the Cath Lab, Cardiac Diagnostics & Rehab, Pulmonary Services, Pediatric Cardiology, and Neurology departments. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with various accreditation programs. The position emphasizes employee management, including recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations, while also focusing on quality assurance and patient satisfaction. The Director will collaborate with Medical Directors and other departments to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in a critical care environment.
  • Five (5) years supervisory experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
  • BLS and neonatal resuscitation certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for Cardiac Diagnostics and Rehab, Pulmonary Services, Cath Lab, and Pediatric Cardiology departments.
  • Organize and oversee all aspects of departmental activities including patient and staff scheduling, billing, compliance, QA, and inventory management.
  • Manage employee relations, recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual operational budget.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors on departmental updates and policy changes.
  • Oversee accreditation programs and ensure compliance with quality control measures.
  • Monitor education and observation of students within the departments.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and report to the Cardiovascular Sciences Committee.
  • Serve as an education resource for team members and participate in required training.
