About the position

We are looking for a dynamic and highly technical Director of Cloud and Campus Networking to join our fast-paced, high-growth organization. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong leader with expertise in cloud networking, campus infrastructure, and people management. The ideal candidate will drive the architecture, strategy, and operational execution of all networking and cloud initiatives across the organization. This individual will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure networking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Cloud and Campus Network engineering and operational leadership in close partnership with SRE and Platform teams
  • Ability to hire and retain a world-class and diverse engineering teams
  • Build and lead a Networking Product Engineering organization that owns the architecture and deployment of Cloud and Campus Networking products
  • Work closely with SRE and Platform teams to ensure best-in-class availability and Infra-as-code capabilities of Cloud & Campus Networks
  • Own definitions of service monitoring to ensure uptime and performance, including synthetic, real user, system, application performance, dashboards etc.
  • Define, measure, and meet key Service Level Objectives including availability, performance, level of automation, incidents and chronic problems
  • Drive a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on execution, quality, and speed
  • Recognize process and product gaps early and able to drive changes to achieve better outcomes

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience or equivalent military experience required
  • 12+ years of strong hands-on technical experience including 5+ years spent in technical management leading teams
  • Extensive experience on architecture design of large scale data platforms, machine learning, analytics, and data-drive applications
  • Experience building, scaling, and running production operations 24x7 for heterogeneous applications in a cloud environment
  • Proven experience attracting, retaining, and growing top engineering talent across geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to nurture and support a strong operations culture: customer/service focus excellent technology; high quality implementations; self-motivated innovation and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics-based process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with those outside of your immediate organization
