The Director of Business Systems is responsible for the strategy, governance, and execution of the company’s core business systems that support Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success, as well as the operational management of the Orders team. This role ensures that our platforms, including NetSuite, Salesforce, Gong, Apollo, and Domo are reliable, well-integrated, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. This role operates with enterprise-wide responsibility and serves as a critical bridge between business leadership and technology. The position is explicitly a transformation and change-agent role, expected to deliver visible improvements early while building a durable, best-practice operating foundation. This position is a hybrid role based in Cincinnati, with flexibility for remote work for the right candidate. SigmaNEST software suite optimizes the entire fabrication process from business operations to CAD/CAM to shopfloor to logistics. The CAD/CAM nesting suite drives nearly all fabrication machines including laser, plasma, waterjet, punch and press brake with greater efficiency and savings. The Shop Manager suite schedules production and tracks parts and resources throughout the shop. The Business suite integrates with a wide range of business systems for streamlined quoting, inventory, and customer care. Requirements

  • 10+ years in business systems or enterprise applications roles.
  • Hands-on NetSuite and Salesforce experience.
  • Strong understanding of finance and order-to-cash.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools or automation to improve productivity and operational effectiveness, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and apply such technologies at scale.

  • Experience with Domo, Gong, Apollo.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap, configuration, and ongoing optimization of NetSuite, Salesforce, Gong, Apollo, and Domo.
  • Define and maintain a business systems strategy aligned with growth, efficiency, and reporting needs.
  • Evaluate and implement new systems or enhancements.
  • Ensure systems are stable, secure, scalable, and compliant.
  • Govern NetSuite as a shared ERP platform across SigmaNEST, Cimatron, and GibbsCAM within a single instance.
  • Act as a change agent to modernize processes using best practices.
  • Assess and remediate outdated or organically evolved workflows.
  • Deliver rapid, visible early improvements while executing a longer-term roadmap.
  • Reduce customization and technical debt.
  • Support order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, intercompany, and statutory reporting.
  • Lead the Orders team responsible for accurate and timely order entry and administration.
  • Establish controls, SLAs, and process consistency.
  • Improve order accuracy, cycle time, and cross-functional handoffs.
  • Leverage NetSuite and Salesforce automation to simplify workflows.
  • Support the entire renewals process globally, from initial contract to contract closure, to ensure accurate and efficient renewals of software subscriptions across all regions.
  • Monitor and analyze renewal metrics across all regions, providing regular reports and strategic insights to senior management.
  • Use data to inform and adjust strategies.
  • Continuously improving the global renewals process, implementing industry best practices and identifying areas for efficiency gains.
  • Mentor and guide sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the renewals functions.
  • Partner with Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Controllership), Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and IT. This would include familiarization of GAAP accounting internal controls, approval workflows, and month-end close reporting and audits
  • Translate cross-functional needs into scalable, auditable system workflows.
  • Support leadership with trusted, Domo-powered reporting and insights.
  • Govern system changes, access, and data standards.
  • Oversee integrations including Salesforce ↔ NetSuite and Domo.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead internal administrators, analysts, and Orders team members.
  • Manage vendors and partners.
  • Drive change management, training, and adoption.
