About The Position

The Resource Director of Business Development is responsible for the development and implementation of business and marketing plans for the assigned hospitals. This position will require the candidate to travel to the required location on a weekly, and as needed basis, spending at least 75% of their time in the field on assignments throughout the US. The Resource Director will manage the Marketing and Admission Team, analyze and create strategic plans for upcoming deployments, assist with Physician recruitment, and ensure survey readiness. This is a full-time/salaried role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Clinical discipline.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare management preferred.
  • Previous experience as a DBD, or similar, highly preferred.
  • Excellent skills in forecasting, market-based planning, communications, and public relations.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as interim DBD when vacancies arise and works alongside HR to recruit and interview new hires in the DBD role and CL role.
  • Remotely manages the facility in which you are serving, in accordance with their natural workday.
  • Implements a comprehensive business plan to ensure Census and Mix Forecasts are met and/or exceeded.
  • Gathers comprehensive external information regarding markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Responsible for remote and on-site education of new DBDs and Clinical Liaisons.
  • Develops, organizes, and maintains a data base system for decision support information.
  • Ensures appropriateness of patient selection and assists patients/families in making informed admission decisions.
  • Creates and implements comprehensive marketing plans and programs annually and as needed.
  • Establishes planning links with other health care organizations and agencies.
  • Interfaces directly with managed care providers, key physicians, and other program delivery personnel.
  • Maintains a measure and tracking system delivering timely reports and presentations.
  • Provides specific feedback on performance achieved to CEO/COO/Senior Directors.
  • Assists the Regional Leadership team with mentorship and remote assistance.
