This position is responsible for Sales support and partnership during prospect and renewal bids, to ensure that OptumRx is putting forth the most well rounded, strategic, and accurate offers in the market. It also encompasses the management of select cross-departmental functions to ensure proper communication, collaboration and execution of new client commitments from sales through to implementation. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Business Analytics, Implementations and/or similar sales support role.
  • 2+ years of PBM experience.
  • Project management experience and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience operating within a matrix environment, across the broader organization to drive collaboration and strategy.
  • Proven solid written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice To Haves

  • Proposal writing experience and/or RFP knowledge.
  • Pharmacy technician or clinical experience.
  • Experience gathering and/or organizing data for internal & external stakeholders.
  • Experience with creating go-to-market materials.

Responsibilities

  • RFP strategy/support/response enhancement- more ingrained in every live deal.
  • RFP mining for differentiating solutions and identifying challenging areas.
  • Areas where we can shine - with focused solutions.

  • Areas to include content that isn't requested.
  • Final review and enhancement of all responses.
  • Strategic writing and creation of new responses.
  • Track and leverage new strategic responses for future use.
  • Finalist support- developing content, point of view on messaging, working closely with salesperson, ensuring consistency from RFP response through finalist presentation.
  • Document all deal components and share with other key areas of the organization from start to go-live.
  • Consultant-house specific playbook management.
  • Arranging Cross-Optum opportunities for insertion into RFP's.
  • Provide support across the entire Optum Rx sales organization.
  • Support current clients with upselling as needed.
  • Analytics pipeline support - extracting data insights to inform decisions.
  • Renewal RFP support.
  • Partner with strategic sales consultants to coordinate best in class strategic positioning.
  • Can manage peaks and valleys of the sales cycle.
  • Read entire RFP and highlight key strategic differentiators.
  • Assist with drafting initial sale strategy document.
  • Creating repository of historical deals - tracking exceptions or unique items and proposal responses.
  • Participate on Exceptions calls, Best and Final calls, and formulate a point of view.
  • Proactive approach to requests, emails, follow-ups.
  • Maintain Executive presentation materials.
  • Strategic thinker; not just provide a response, but craft a response to differentiate ourselves.
  • Proactive, self-starter, research oriented, reviewing RFP's, someone to help win each deal.
  • Natural curiosity to research relevant topics to enhance final product and result in improved win rates.
