About The Position

The Director, Business Affairs will be primarily responsible for negotiating deals related to the development and production of unscripted programming for Bravo and the Peacock streaming service. This role will report to the VP, Business Affairs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in transaction or entertainment matters
  • Prior experience negotiating development and series-related agreements, preferably at a television studio and/or an entertainment network or platform

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate all aspects of unscripted programming deals for Bravo and Peacock with both in-house and third-party studios, serving as the point person on assigned projects for the Business Affairs team
  • Draft initial term sheets and negotiate comments seeing through to completion and signature short form agreements reflecting negotiated deal points
  • Coordinate with Legal Affairs department and review longform agreements and standard terms for accuracy of terms negotiated and consistency with term sheets
  • Handle day-to-day business affairs issues for projects in development and in production, including negotiating and drafting above-the-line talent deals, advising on production issues, and handling product integrations, custom content, and other advertiser material associated with programming
  • Interface and coordinate with many departments, especially the following: content development; content production; casting; legal affairs; production operations; communications; marketing; finance; and distribution
  • Help to maintain library of forms and policies
  • Advise creative team, production executives, casting, marketing, communications, finance, and similar departments with respect to various issues
