About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead business growth and strategic account development across the Western U.S., focusing on residential solar and renewable energy solutions. As Director, you will drive sales initiatives, expand the EPC partner network, and develop high-performing relationship management teams. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across technology, finance, and operations to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to partners and customers. The position demands a strategic mindset with hands-on execution, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to cultivate long-term partnerships. This role balances leadership, mentoring, and active account management in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment. The Director will influence both the growth of the platform and the success of partner organizations, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 8–10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within residential solar or renewable energy
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy market and residential solar industry dynamics
  • Proven ability to ideate, develop, and execute strategic plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and fostering high-performance culture
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in the Western U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts for the Western region, expanding the EPC partner base and driving adoption of financial and energy solutions
  • Manage and mentor a team of Relationship Managers, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and professional development pathways
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities, build relationships with partners, and execute objectives to achieve regional business targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Technology, Finance, Revenue, and Operations to ensure successful delivery of solutions to customers and partners
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics, providing insights and recommendations for platform expansion
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives across the region, including partner enablement, platform adoption, and operational improvements
  • Drive thought leadership, presenting new ideas, market segmentation, and innovative solutions to enhance platform performance
