About The Position

The Director, BU Finance — FRC serves as the finance leader and strategic business partner to the Feature‑Rich CMOS product business unit. You will lead planning, forecasting, and performance management; guide investment allocation; enable value‑accretive pricing and deal decisions; and standardize analytics that turn data into action. Success requires strong P&L ownership, crisp executive communication, and an operator’s mindset to run a weekly operating rhythm across a complex commercial and supply chain environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including 10+ years leading FP&A/BU finance in complex technical or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership with strong forecast accuracy and variance analysis.
  • Proven impact in pricing/deal modeling, portfolio profitability, and investment decisions.
  • Operator who excels at weekly/monthly performance cadences and cross‑functional execution with Product, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling; ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor/foundry or complex manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with S&OP, standard costing/capacity topics, and BI/analytics (e.g., Power BI).
  • MBA or relevant master’s degree.
  • Experience with Anaplan for planning and modeling.
  • Openness to the latest AI trends and ability to inspire the team to leverage AI for productivity and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own the BU P&L (revenue, gross margin, Opex, operating income) with high‑quality monthly close, quarterly forecast, and annual plan/LRP.
  • Run the operating cadence: lead the weekly FRC scorecard; synthesize bookings, backlog, shipments, ASP/GM drivers, risks & opportunities; drive timely actions.
  • Shape commercial outcomes: partner with Product/Sales/Deal Desk on pricing, rebates/discounts, and strategic deals; ensure policy compliance and measurable margin uplift.
  • Evaluate product/customer profitability, capacity/cost impacts, and business cases for NPI/platform extensions.
  • Manage R&D portfolio, including R&D program decision-making, tracking, and guiding BU R&D teams.
  • Collaborate with GSC S&OP to align demand/supply; ensure BU pipeline and R&O inputs are timely and complete for supportability assessments.
  • Champion standardized dashboards (e.g., Power BI) for revenue outlooks, GM bridges, and driver‑based models; reduce manual effort.
  • Maintain fiscal controls, audit readiness, and clear decision rights; codify playbooks and improve cycle time and data quality.
  • Set vision and culture for BU Finance; mentor and develop talent; foster partnership, accountability, and inclusion.
