Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015. How you’ll contribute The Director of Behavioral Health provides strategic and operational leadership for the behavioral health department, directing clinical, administrative, and financial activities to achieve organizational goals and ensure high-quality patient care. This role oversees departmental operations, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and performance improvement while integrating evidence-based practices and regulatory standards into clinical and operational protocols. The Director fosters a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and accountability, manages interdisciplinary teams, ensures effective service delivery and resource utilization, and serves as a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders to support safe, ethical, and efficient behavioral health services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Leadership experience managing the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
  • Hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administrative corrective action for staff.
