About The Position

As the Director, AWS Hyperscaler, you will be entrusted with managing Commvault’s Hyperscaler relationship with AWS focusing on all aspects of the relationship, both technical and go-to-market. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and cultivating this strategic partnership, assessing opportunities for co-innovation, and ensuring that joint initiatives align seamlessly with our mutual go-to-market strategies. The role is a leadership position and will have CEO visibility within Commvault and senior-level executive engagement at AWS. This person will be adept at aligning technology solutions, creating GTM plans, and compiling the business plan to support it. The measure of success will be tied to successful joint roadmap definition and execution bringing innovative offerings to market, revenue growth, and time to revenue for new offerings.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in managing global partnerships with AWS.
  • Solid understanding of AWS products and service offerings to show the depth of engagement in the past.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and data-driven attitude for monitoring and improving partnership performance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Expand, cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key collaborators at the AWS, including partner managers, solution architects, and executive leadership.
  • Identify, negotiate, and establish new partnership agreements that align with the strategic goals of AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive strategy for improving the partnership with the AWS peer teams.
  • Plan and implement product launches in partnership with the AWS, leveraging CVLT Product organization
  • Ensure messaging is set for AWS employees and mutual AWS customer personas,
  • Drive co-innovation initiatives by identifying areas of mutual interest and demonstrating the capabilities of both organizations.
  • Regularly assess and report on the performance of the partnership, highlighting areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Build new programs, sales plays, enablement plans and help drive ongoing efforts to ensure success in the key partnership metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the AWS ecosystem.
